Paragliding

The human kind always had a dream. Paragliding in Nepal is a relatively new activity.  The sport took root in Pokhara after companies like Avia Club Nepal opened doors with the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal for airsport activites.  Realizing the benefit to local economy and tourism Microlighting, Hot air balooning, skydiving and paragliding amongst other activities began to thrive in Pokhara.

Today, thousands of adventure seekers, paragliding pilots, photographers and people from all walks of life, come to Pokhara to experience the thrills and ecstasy of motorless flight in the Himalayan skies over Nepal.

Avia Club Nepal, offers several options for paragliding in Nepal.  From very accessible timed flights from Sarangkot to complete paratrekking packages that combine the ever popular trekking activity with paragliding.

Paratrekking lets visitors, paragliding pilots and adventure seekers to explore Nepal in a totally unique way.  Paratrekking events can be arranged in advance and the possibilities are boundless.

30min Paragliding flight

Book a 15-30 minute introductory flight with us from Sarangkot, near Pokhara.  This flight lets you get a taste of what it’s like to fly with the birds in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

60min Paragliding flight

Book a 30-60 minute paragliding flight.  This flight will allow you to fully get the feeling of flight as the initial butterflies calm down and you get a chance to sit back and realy enjoy the experience.  A one hour flight (whether permitting) will often provide an opportunity to fly away from Sarangkot and do a bit of exploring.

    The time it takes, costs involved, and what sort of training it takes
